Read the notes, then try the questions on the next slide.
To form a question, we invert the BE verb and THERE:
There is a cat in the garden.
Is there a cat in the garden?
There are two cats in the garden.
Are there two cats in the garden?
There will be dessert.
Will there be dessert?
To form a negative sentence, we can add the word NO or the word NOT:
There are not any cats in the garden.
There is no food in the fridge.
