Lost in the Jungle
A man was found yesterday after going missing in the jungle for sixty days. Edy Suwarno, a 35-year-old engineer from East Java, was the sole survivor of a helicopter crash in a dense part of the jungle. He wandered through the jungle with only a knife, a lighter and a walking stick to help him survive.
During his sixty-day ordeal, Juan drank rainwater that he collected in an empty coconut shell. For food, he ate snakes and rats that he encountered, as well as the occasional fish.
When Edy finally emerged from the jungle into a small village, the villagers were shocked to find him skinny and covered in dirt, but otherwise in good health. Edy says that it is an experience that he will never forget!
