Paige Lewis, Hollywood Actress

I am the proud father of two lovely teenage girls, one 13 and one 14. Recently, I noticed that they both idolize a particular Hollywood celebrity called Paige Lewis. When I looked her up on the net, I began to be concerned about whether or not she makes a good role model for my teens.

Paige Lewis was born into an affluent family. Her father owns a chain of hotels which will someday be her inheritance. Although Paige Lewis was educated in some of the best schools in North America, she apparently lacks basic knowledge about the world around her. Recently, she expressed interest in learning Latin because she needed to film a project in Latin America. Paige is trying to set a fashion trend by making ‘dumb’ look cool. For example, in the movie, 40 Handbags, she loses her handbag 40 times. Paige proudly declared to the press that the movie was based on her own life.

More recently, she poisoned her dog by feeding it fresh salmon. She then drove her car into a restaurant after they refused to serve her. When the judge sentenced her to 40 days in jail, she exclaimed, ‘Cool!’

I don’t wish to interfere in my daughters’ choices of entertainment. However, I wish they could choose a more positive role model to look up to, such as a female scientist or business leader.
